Timbers Baker & Davies use locally grown, eco-select Victorian Ash (KDHWD) or Western Red Cedar (WRC) to make its Joinery. Sills are made from WRC, Merbau or Jarrah.
Timber Treatment
All Baker & Davies mortice and tenon joints are dipped in "Quantum Aquatec" before assembling.
Joints
All Baker & Davies joints are mortice, tenon and wedged as they have been for 80 years. There are lots or cheaper and easier joining methods but none better or more proven.
